A hermits moon

Awash in the luminous glow of her soul
I send my spirit into the night
on a journey to the other side
A place I have never seen
but in my dreams

were it not for gravity

to be held to her bosom
and washed by her tears

to mingle her blood with mine
to caress her thoughts
and to carry her name
to the end of the universe

The stars placed her there
on that celestial pedestal
to look down on me
reflected in the electric blue light of her

Though I shall never drink from her cup
I will often be intoxicated by her light
and be drawn to her spirit

What A Night!

I Fell asleep early last night and when I awoke at 11:pm I could hear the rain pouring on my tin roof and it was hot in my house so I got up and shut off the heat and threw open my front door. WTF I thought, had I slept like Rip van winkle!
I had to turn on my computer and check the date. Yep it was Jan 3 alright.
I slept the rest of the night with the front door open and the heat off

This morning I was awakened by the chatter of birds like it was april and the temp is 65 here.
I had my coffee on the porch in my housecoat and watched the sun come up... what a beautiful morning.
