I rode my atv out to buzzard rock a couple of days ago and snapped this pic.
It is a beautiful day today but I can smell smoke in the air. I hope the woods don't burn around here.

Ah yes, the smell of smoke without the woods actually burning down, to me that is what autum is all about. That and long pants and apples and hiking boots and muted sun.
